The study followed ai quantitativei approachi, ofi ai basici typei, iwith ai idescriptive-icorrelational ilevel iand ia inon-iexperimental idesign; ithe ipopulation iconsisted iof 294 studentsi, fromi whichi ai samplei of 88 participants wasi iselected; ia iquestionnaire administered to students wasi iused ias the instrument for idata icollection. Thei main result obtained was a correlation of 0.864 withi ai isignificance ileveli iof i0.000. It is therefore iconcluded thati ithere is ai highi and positive irelationship ibetween ithe variables, meaning that adequate development of emotional intelligence leads to appropriate development of autonomous learning.
